BPM Connect now supports msmdpump capabilities in Analysis Services.
Msmdpump allows for BPM Connect HTTP basic authentication access to Analysis Services destination hosts.
This capability is especially useful in distributed environments where Windows integrated authentication is not possible between the BPM Connect ETL server and the destination Analysis Services.
See example configuration of msmdpumnp is Surface Area:
For more reading on msmdpump, its capabilities, and configuration, see MS TechNet:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg492140(v=sql.110).aspx
Note: when Windows integrated authentication is active between servers, MSMDPump may not be necessary. This is a fall back strategy for when Windows integrated authentication is unable to be obtained between servers.
Msmdpump support for BPM Connect is available in 320 pack or above.
